What will you be doing?

As a Principal Design Technologist, you’ll use the latest tools and techniques to take projects from idea to reality. You take a human-centered approach to development: finding relatable, new ways to use technology, helping others work within technical limits, and building user experiences that improve people’s lives.

We want you to have:

  • Served as an advocate for technology, helping designers and product managers work through technical feasibility and tradeoffs to discover new paths forward
  • 6+ years of professional experience building production software with rich user experiences using modern tools and techniques
  • Worked on many production applications using a major MVVM or MVC framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) and working with data from an API
  • Strong understanding of building design systems and related tools (Storybook, Pattern Lab, etc.)
  • Able to break designs into development plans and delegate tasks to more junior Technologists
  • Worked as part of an agile team using modern tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, etc.)
  • A willingness to travel for key collaboration sessions

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Strong presentation and writing skills
  • Designed complex technical architectures and software ecosystems
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and creating proof-of-concept demos
  • Explored many different areas of technology, like web, mobile apps, IoT, or AR/VR
  • Full-stack skills, like coding for the cloud, writing API’s, or working with databases
  • Experience with complex scenarios, like e-commerce, internationalization, or content management
